8 Oxford, MI Oxford, MI Full-time Full-time From $20 an hour From $20 an hour 14 days ago 14 days ago 14 days ago We are seeking an experienced industrial painter proficient using Sherwin Williams Macropoxy 646 epoxy, 2-part epoxy, Envirolastic 840 DTM, Sher-loxane 800 (polysiloxane), and zinc rich primers.
Experience with using computer software to locate drawings, locate work instructions and log labor hours is a plus.
The ideal candidate would have overhead crane and hi-lo experience.
Industrial Painter
Responsibilities:
Properly apply coatings to steel and aluminum fabrications, pressure vessels and piping systems per Technical Data Sheets.
Mix and thin paint for HVLP industrial spray guns Assist in other department tasks as assigned, which includes assembling, painting and prep work for order shipment Use protective clothing (respirator/safety glasses, gloves etc.
) Operate a hi-lo to move parts Follow safe work practices Stand for long periods of time, climb up and down ladders, bend, grasp, sit, pull, push, stoop, and stretch Must be able to lift 75 lbs Use MRP (computer software) to locate drawings, locate work instructions and log labor hours Maintain clean equipment and paint booth Keep station clean and organized Report paint inventory to Supervisor Work all required shift hours and overtime when necessary Industrial Painter Requirements:
Proven Industrial Painter experience, including painting various size weldments (small to large) Capable of mixing epoxy, zinc and other industrial paints and primers HVLP spray gun & pressure pot experience Capable of adjusting paint flow, fans and air pressure using HVLP paint gun Paint prep experience (masking machine surfaces, plugging thread holes, etc.
) Able to change paint booth filter Able to keep paint booth clean and in good working order Able to read and follow Technical Data Sheets Able to read blueprints Able to disassemble and reassemble HVLP spray gun & pressure pot after daily use Grinding experience with power grinder Computer efficient Knowledge of relative safety standards Attention to detail is a must Excellent hand-eye coordination and physical dexterity Good listening habits Able to follow detailed instructions and processes Capable of standing for long periods of time Strong work ethic Able to work independently and as part of a team Industrial Painter Rewards:
